This Green water tower is part of an old industrial complex next to the Lachine Canal in the Ville Emard section of the Sud-Ouest borough of Montreal. It sits directly on the other side of the Canal from my studio and can be recognized in the skyline by its faded green paint. I’m drawn to recreate these old monuments to the industrialisation of Montreal, to create keepsakes of the past with a contemporary touch.
